Händigen Sie bei Weitergabe des Gerätes an Dritte auch die Anleitung aus. -1- HAIRDRYER KH 1803 Safety information Risk of electrocution! · Connect the hair dryer only to correctly installed and earthed power sockets with a mains voltage of 220-240 V at 50 Hz. · Under no circumstances may the hair dryer be submerged in fluids, or fluids be permitted to enter the appliance housing. Do not expose the appliance to humidity and do not use it outdoors. Should liquids enter the housing, unplug the appliance from the power socket immediately and arrange for it to be repaired by a qualified technician. · Never use the appliance near water, particularly not near sinks, baths or other vessels. . The proximity of moisture presents a risk, even when the appliance is switched off. After use, always remove the plug from the power socket. As additional protection, the installation of a faulty-current protection unit with an activation power rating of not more than 30 mA is recommended for the power circuit in the bathroom. Ask your electrician for advice. · Unplug the hair dryer from the power socket if defective operation is apparent and before cleaning it. · To disconnect, pull only on the plug itself, not on the cable. · Do not wrap the power cable around the hair dryer and protect the cable from damage. · Arrange for defective power plugs and/or cables to be replaced as soon as possible by a qualified technician or by our Customer Service Department to avoid the risk of injury. · Do not pinch or squeeze the power cable and lay it in such a way that no one can tread on or trip over it. · Do not use extension cables. · Never touch the hair dryer, the power cable or the plug with wet hands. · Separate the hair dryer from the power source immediately after use. The appliance is completely free of electrical power only when you unplug it . · You are not permitted to open or repair the housing of the hair dryer. Should you do so, the safety of the appliance may be compromised and the warranty becomes void. Arrange for the hair dryer to be serviced and repaired only by qualified specialists. · Do not use an external timing switch or a separate remote control system to operate the appliance. NEVER submerse any parts of the appliance in water or other liquids! This will incur the risk of a potentially fatal electrical shock if residual liquid comes into contact with live components. Afterwards, place the settings at a lower level to shape and form the hair. With the enclosed styling jet q, which can be turned to all positions, you can studiously use the air flow for styling. If you wish to dry your hair particulary gently, or for the so-called "air-dryed permanent wave", use the finger diffusor u. For this, first of all remove the styling jet q, then replace it with the finger diffusor. Before you comb your hair out allow it to cool, so that the styling retains its form. For cooling the hair you can use the switch "Cool-Shot" y or level · of the heat level switch e. Attention! First pack and transport the hair dryer when it has completely cooled down. Otherwise, it could damage other items. Operation Insert the plug into the wall socket. Switch the hair dryer on with the blower level switch r. The hair dryer is fitted with two function switches. With these you can separately select the strength of the air flow ( Blower switch r) and the level of heat (Heat level switch e): -3- Cleaning Danger of electrical shock ALWAYS remove the plug from the power socket before cleaning the hair dryer. Cleaning the housing To clean the housing, use a soft cloth moistened with a mild soapy solution. Cleaning the air suction grill Risk of Fire! Clean the air suction grill w at regular intervals with a soft brush. Press the air suction grill w together, from above and below, so that you can release it from the hair dryer. Clean the openings of the air suction grill w with a soft brush. Insert the upper securing lug of the air suction grill w into the guide on the hair dryer. Then press the lower securing lug into the hair dryer until the air suction grill w audibly engages. Danger of an electrical shock! After being cleaned, the hair dryer must be completely dry before using it again. Disposal Do not dispose of the appliance in your normal domestic waste. This product is subject to the European guideline 2002/96/EC. Dispose of the appliance through an approved disposal centre or at your community waste facility. Observe the currently applicable regulations. In case of doubt, please contact your waste disposal centre. Dispose of all packaging materials in an environmentally responsible manner. The warranty covers ONLY claims for material and maufacturing defects, not for wearing or consumable or for damage to fragile components.
