Pass this manual on to whoever might acquire the appliance at a future date. -1- MULTITRIMMER KH 5517 1. Intended use You can use this multitrimmer for - gently removing hair from the nose and ears - trimming beard and sideburns. The appliance in intended exclusively for domestic use. It is not intended for commercial applications. 2. Technical data Power supply: Protection class: 1 x 1,5 V DC (Type "AA/UM3") IPX 4 3. Safety Instructions Risk of personal injuries · Insert the appliance into the nostril or ear only as far as the narrow tip will reach. · Do not use the appliance if the blades are deformed or damaged in any way. · Protect the blades from knocks and do not use excessive force. This will prevent the blades from becoming damaged. -2- · Do not open the housing: there are no user-serviceable elements inside. · This appliance is not intended for use by individuals (including children) with restricted physical, physiological or intellectual abilities or deficiences in experience and/or knowledge unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or receive from this person instruction in how the appliance is to be used. · Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. · The blade oil contains petroleum distillates. Please keep it well away from foodstuffs and children. If swallowed, consult a doctor immediately. In the event of it making contact with the eyes, flush them thoroughly with water AND consult a doctor! 4. Inserting the battery To open the battery compartment, turn the battery compartment cover anticlockwise . Insert one AA/UM3 type battery. Observe the correct polarity (this is indicated in the battery compartment)! Close the battery compartment. For the best performance, we recommend using alkaline batteries. The battery is not included amongst the items supplied. 6. Changing the blade attachment Select a blade attachment. Place the blade attachment onto the hand unit, offset at an angle of about 45° to the right. Turn the blade attachment clockwise to secure it. Turn the blade attachment anticlockwise to release and remove it. 7. Removing nasal and ear hair Attach the blade attachment for nose/ear hair as described in section 6. Make sure that the blade attachment is correctly fastened before using the appliance. Only then switch the hand unit on, using the on-off switch (switch to position 1). Carefully insert the tip of the blade attachment into the nostril / ear. The rotating blades remove your hair painlessly. Switch off the appliance after use (switch to position "0"). -4- 8. Trimming beards and sideburns Attach the blade attachment for side burns and beards as described in section 6. Make sure that the blade attachment is correctly fastened before using the appliance. Only then switch the hand unit on, using the on-off switch (switch to position 1). Direct the blade attachment over the skin without using excessive force. Thereby, hold the blade attachment vertically to the skin. Switch the appliance off after use (switch to position "0"). 9. Cleaning and care Remove the fitted blade attachment from the hand unit and clean it under running water. Important: The hand unit is only splashproof. NEVER submerse it in water. Dry the blade attachment completely. Clean off any hairs remaining on the attachment blades with the cleaning brush. Periodically lubricate the blades on the attachments using the blade oil supplied. Do not use cleaning agents or solvents. They can damage the plastic surfaces. Keep the appliance in a cool dry place. Remove the battery if you are not intending to use the appliance for a long period. -5- 10. Disposal Do not dispose of the appliance in your normal domestic waste. Dispose of the appliance through an approved disposal centre or at your community waste facility. Observe the currently applicable regulations. In case of doubt, please contact your waste disposal centre. Disposing of batteries! Do not dispose of the batteries with household waste. Every consumer is legally obliged to dispose of batteries at a collection site of his community/city district or at a retail store. This obligation is intended to ensure that batteries are disposed of in an environmentally safe fashion. Only dispose of batteries when they are fully discharged. Dispose of the packaging materials in an environmentally responsible manner. -6- 11. Warranty and service The warranty for this appliance is for 3 years from the date of purchase. The appliance has been manufactured with care and meticulously examined before delivery. Please retain your receipt as proof of purchase. In the case of a warranty claim, please make contact by telephone with our service department. Only in this way can a post-free despatch for your goods be assured. The warranty covers only claims for material and maufacturing defects, not for wearing parts or for damage to fragile components, e.g. buttons or batteries. This product is for private use only and is not intended for commercial use. The warranty is void in the case of abusive and improper handling, use of force and internal tampering not carried out by our authorized service branch. Your statutory rights are not restricted in any way by this warranty. Käyttötarkoitus Tämän tarkkuustrimmerin avulla voit - poistaa hellävaraisesti karvat nenästä tai korvista - trimmata parran ja pulisongit. Laite on tarkoitettu ainoastaan yksityiskäyttöön. Paristojen asettaminen Avaa paristokotelo kääntämällä paristokotelon kantta vastapäivään. Aseta AA/UM3-tyypin paristot koteloon. Huomaa tällöin paristojen oikea napaisuus (merkintä paristokotelossa)! Sulje paristokotelo. Parhaan tuloksen saavuttamiseksi suosittelemme alkaliparistojen käyttämistä. Paristot eivät kuulu toimitukseen. 6. Teräsarjan vaihtaminen Valitse teräsarja. Aseta teräsarja käsilaitteeseen n. 45 astetta oikealle käännettynä. Kiinnitä teräsarja kääntämällä sitä myötäpäivään. Voit irrottaa teräsarjan kääntämällä sitä vastapäivään. 7. Nenä- ja korvakarvojen poistaminen Aseta nenä- ja korvakarvoille tarkoitettu teräsarja luvussa "6." kuvatulla tavalla. Varmista ennen käyttöä, että teräsarja on kiinnitetty oikein. Käynnistä vasta sitten laite virtakytkimestä kääntämällä kytkin asentoon 1. Työnnä teräsarjan kärki varovasti sieraimeen tai korvaan. Pyörivät terät poistavat karvat kivuttomasti. Katkaise laitteen virta käytön jälkeen asettamalla kytkin asentoon 0. - 12 - 8. Parran ja pulisonkien trimmaus Aseta pulisongeille ja parralle tarkoitettu teräsarja luvussa "6." kuvatulla tavalla. Varmista ennen käyttöä, että teräsarja on kiinnitetty oikein. Käynnistä vasta sitten laite virtakytkimestä kääntämällä kytkin asentoon 1. Liikuta teräsarjaa ihoa vasten painamatta kuitenkaan laitetta liikaa. Pidä teräsarja kohtisuoraan ihoa vasten. Katkaise laitteen virta käytön jälkeen asettamalla kytkin asentoon 0. 9. Puhdistus ja säilytys Irrota teräsarja käsilaitteesta ja puhdista se juoksevalla vedellä. Huomio: Käsilaite on suojattu ainoastaan roiskuvalta vedeltä. Älä koskaan upota sitä veteen. Kuivaa sen jälkeen teräsarja huolellisesti. Poista tarvittaessa jäljelle jääneet karvat teristä harjalla. Rasvaa terät säännöllisesti laitteen mukana toimitetulla teräöljyllä. Älä käytä puhdistusaineita äläkä liuottimia. Nämä voivat vahingoittaa muovipintoja. Säilytä laite kuivassa, viileässä paikassa. Poista paristot, jos laite on pidemmän aikaa käyttämättä. - 13 - 10. Hävittäminen Älä hävitä laitetta tavallisen talousjätteen mukana. Hävitä laite hyväksytyn jätehuoltoyrityksen tai kunnallisen jätelaitoksen avulla. Noudata ajankohtaisia voimassa olevia määräyksiä. Ota epävarmoissa tilanteissa yhteyttä jätelaitokseen. Paristojen hävittäminen! Paristoja ei saa hävittää talousjätteiden mukana. Jokaisella käyttäjällä on lakisääteinen velvollisuus luovuttaa paristot/akut kuntansa/kaupunginosansa tai kaupan keräilypisteeseen. Tämän tarkoituksena on varmistaa, että paristojen hävittämisestä ei aiheudu vaaraa ympäristölle. Palauta akut/paristot ainoastaan purkautuneina. Hävitä kaikki pakkausmateriaalit ympäristöystävällisellä tavalla. - 14 - 11. Takuu ja huolto Laitteen takuu on 3 vuotta ostopäivästä. Laite on valmistettu huolellisesti ja tarkistettu tarkasti ennen toimitusta. Säilytä ostokuitti todisteeksi takuun voimassaolosta. Ota takuutapauksessa puhelimitse yhteyttä lähimpään huoltopisteeseen. Vain näin voidaan taata tuotteesi maksuton lähettäminen huoltoon. Takuu koskee ainoastaan materiaali- ja valmistusvirheitä, ei kuitenkaan kuluvia osia tai herkästi vaurioituvien osien, esim. kytkinten tai akkujen vaurioita. Tuote on tarkoitettu ainoastaan yksityiseen, ei kaupalliseen käyttöön. Väärä tai asiaton käyttö, väkivallan käyttö ja muiden kuin valtuutetun huoltopisteen suorittamat korjaukset aiheuttavat takuun raukeamisen. Tämä takuu ei rajoita kuluttajan lakisääteisiä oikeuksia.
