Händigen Sie bei Weitergabe des Gerätes an Dritte auch die Anleitung aus. 18 -1- FOOD WARMER KH1610 Intended use This appliance is ... · intended for the keeping warm of foods in domestic households and ONLY for use in dry accommodation. · NOT intended for the warming or heating of other materials, for industrial or commercial applications or for use outdoors. · Arrange for defective power plugs and/or cables to be replaced at once by qualified technicians or our Customer Service Department. To avoid the risks of fire or injury: · NEVER touch the hotplate when the appliance is in use. It can get very hot. · Overheated foodstuffs could begin to burn! Never let the appliance work without supervision. · Additionally, NEVER position the appliance below inflammable objects, especially not below curtains, drapes or hanging cupboards. · NEVER attempt to warm-up tightly sealed containers. Due to heat expansion the container could explode. · This appliance is not intended for use by individuals (including children) with restricted physical, physiological or intellectual abilities or deficiences in experience and/or knowledge unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or receive from this person instruction in how the appliance is to be used. · Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. · When it is in use, take hold of the appliance ONLY with the grips. This symbol on the appliance warns you of the risk of burns caused by hot surfaces. Safety information To avoid potentially fatal electric shocks: Ensure that the appliance, the power cable and the power plug are NEVER submersed in water or other fluids. · Connect the appliance only to electrical sockets supplying a level of energy that complies with the details on the rating plate. · Ensure that the power cable never becomes wet or damp during operation. Lay the cable so that it cannot be clamped or damaged in any way. · Always remove the power plug from the wall socket after use. Simply switching the appliance off is not sufficient, as the appliance is under power for as long as the plug is connected to the socket. · Protect the food warmer from damages: The appliance may not be taken into use if the food warmer is damaged in any way. In this case, immediately remove the plug from the wall socket and arrange for the appliance to be repaired. As soon as the appliance has reached its highest temperature the control lamp "Ready for use" 7 glows. · Position the On/Off switch 5 at "O". · First remove the plug from the wall power socket and then the plug from the connection socket 3 on the appliance. The appliance is now independant from mains power and retains its heat for approx. one hour. First implementation · Remove all packaging materials from the appliance and then clean it as described in the chapter "Cleaning and Care". · Place the appliance on a dry, flat and heat-resistant surface. · Warm the appliance up as described in the chapter "Utilisation". Risk of Burns! Take hold of the food warmer ONLY by means of the grips 4 provided on it. The other appliance parts will be very hot! · Place the food warmer at the place where you wish to use it. Note: You can also leave the appliance connected to mains power after it has been warmed up. It could then happen that, during use, the control lamp "Ready for use" 7 briefly extinguishes itself and then glows once again. This indicates that the set temperature had fallen and the appliance had warmed itself back up. Note: On the first usage, a slight odour can occur (minimal smoke development is also possible). This is normal and stops after a short time. Provide for sufficient ventilation. For example, open a window. · Remove the plug from the wall power socket. Utilisation · Place the appliance on a dry, flat and heat-resistant surface. · First insert the plug of the power cable 2 into the connection socket 3 and then connect the power cable 2 with a wall power socket. The control lamp "Mains power connected" 6 glows. Cleaning and Care Attention! Before cleaning, ALWAYS remove the plug from the wall power socket! There is a risk of receiving an electric shock! Allow the appliance to cool down completely before cleaning it. There is a danger of being burnt! Do not use abrasive, aggressive or chemical cleaning agents. These could damage the upper surfaces of the appliance. -3- NEVER submerse the appliance in water or other liquids. · Wipe the appliance with a damp cloth. For stubborn soiling use a mild detergent on the cloth. · The hotplate 1 can, if required, be cleaned with a special stainless steel cleaning agent. · Wipe off any possibly remaining cleaning agent residues with a damp cloth. · Dry the appliance thoroughly before reusing it or putting it into storage. Warranty and Service The warranty for this appliance is for 3 years from the date of purchase. The appliance has been manufactured with care and meticulously examined before delivery. Please retain your receipt as proof of purchase. In the case of a warranty claim, please make contact by telephone with our service department. Only in this way can a post-free despatch for your goods be assured. The warranty covers only claims for material and maufacturing defects, not for wearing parts or for damage to fragile components, e.g. buttons or batteries. The appliance is intended for domestic use only, NOT for commercial purposes. If this product has been subjected to improper or inappropriate handling, abuse, or modifications not carried out by one of our authorised sales and service outlets, the warranty will be considered void. Kun laite on saavuttanut maksimilämpötilansa, syttyy merkkivalo "Käyttövalmis" 7. · Aseta virtakytkin 5 asentoon "O". · Vedä verkkopistoke pois verkkopistorasiasta ja sen jälkeen pistoke laitteen liitäntärasiasta 3. Laite ei ole enää riippuvainen virtaverkosta ja pitää lämmön noin tunnin ajan. Palovammojen vaara! Ensi käyttöönotto · Poista kaikki pakkausmateriaalit laitteesta ja puhdista laite kuten luvussa "Puhdistus ja hoito" selos-tetaan. · Laita laite tasaiselle ja kuumankestävälle alustalle. · Kuumenna laite kuten luvussa "Käyttö" selostetaan. Tartu ruoanlämmittimeen vain tähän tarkoitetuista kahvoista 4. Muut osat ovat erittäin kuumia! · Laita ruoanlämmitin haluamaasi paikkaan. Huomaa: Voit jättää ruoanlämmittimen kuumentamisenkin jälkeen virtaverkkoon liitetyksi. Tällöin merkkivalo "Käyttövalmis" 7 saattaa sammua käytön aikana vähäksi aikaa ja syttyä sen jälkeen uudelleen. Tämä merkitsee, että lämpötila oli lyhyen aikaa liian alhainen ja laite kytkeytyi jälleen kuumennuskäyttöön. Ohje: Ensimmäisellä käyttökerralla saattaa syntyä hieman hajua (lisäksi voi kehittyä hieman savua). Tämä on normaalia ja häviää lyhyen ajan päästä. Pidä huoli riittävästä tuuletuksesta. Avaa esimerkiksi ikkuna. · Vedä verkkopistoke irti pistorasiasta. Puhdistus ja hoito Huomio! Vedä aina ennen puhdistusta verkkopistoke pois verkkopistorasiasta! On olemassa sähköiskun vaara! Anna laitteen jäähtyä täysin ennen sen puhdistamista. On olemassa palovamman vaara! Älä käytä mitään hankaavia, syövyttäviä tai kemiallisia puhdistusaineita. Nämä voivat vahingoittaa laitteen pintaa. Käyttö · Laita laite tasaiselle ja kuumankestävälle alustalle. · Liitä ensiksi verkkojohdon pistoke 2 liitäntärasiaan 3 ja liitä sen jälkeen verkkojohto 2 verkkopistorasiaan. Merkkivalo "Verkkojännite päällä" 6 syttyy. -7- Älä koskaan upota laitetta veteen tai muihin nesteisiin. · Pyyhi laite puhtaaksi kostealla liinalla. Jos lika on kovap ...
