Pass the manual on to whomsoever might acquire the appliance at a later date. -3- MILK FOAMER KH 1902 Intended Use This appliance is intended for use in frothing milk, sauces, shakes and other liquid foods. This appliance is intended only for domestic use. It is not designed for commercial or industrial applications. Safety instructions Warning about appliance damage! · Never submerse the handle in water or other fluids. · Never attempt to process solid foodstuffs with the appliance. · Do not start the appliance when it is stood in its stand. Risk of personal injury! · This appliance is not intended for use by individuals (including children) with restricted physical, physiological or intellectual abilities or deficiences in experience and/or knowledge unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or receive from this person instruction in how the appliance is to be used. · Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. -4- Information regarding the handling of batteries · Battery acid may leak, particularly from older batteries. In the event of the batteries leaking acids, put on a pair of protective gloves. Clean the battery compartment with a dry cloth. · Remove the batteries if you do not intend to use the device for a longer period. · Always use batteries of the same type. · Always exchange both batteries at the same time. Technical data Power supply: Input voltage: 2 x Mignon / AA / LR6 / R06 Batteries DC 3 V -5- Description of the appliance 1 On/Off button 2 Battery compartment cover 3 Hand element 4 Whisk 5 Stand 6 Drip tray Preparation · Remove all packaging materials from the appliance. Note: Please take note of the directions regarding interaction with the batteries, as detailed in the section "Safety Instructions"! · Open the battery compartment by pressing the battery compartment cover 2 to the front. · Insert the batteries as per the polarity diagram in the battery compartment. · Close the battery compartment 2 by sliding the cover onto the appliance from the front. Ensure that the supports on the battery compartment cover 2 engage in the runners on the appliance. The battery compartment cover 2 then sits firmly on the appliance. Note: Proceed in exactly the same way when you need to change the batteries. -6- Utilisation · Fill a tall receptacle up to approx. 1/3 with the fluid to be frothed. Note: Milk may not exceed a temperature of 60°C. Otherwise, it does not allow itself to be frothed. · Hold the milk frother to just before the bottom of the receptacle. · Press the On/Off button 1. The whisk 4 starts to turn. Guide it in slow circular movements. · Press the On/Off button 1 once more to stop the whisk 4. · Lift the milk frother out of the receptacle. · Place it in the stand 5. Any liquids remaining on the whisk 4 drop into the drip tray 6. Cleaning and care Warning! · Before cleaning it, remove the batteries from the appliance. This prevents an unintentional starting of the appliance. Warning about appliance damage! · Do NOT use any chemical, abrasive or aggressive cleaning agents. These will damage the surface of the appliance. -7- NEVER submerse the hand element 3 in water or other liquids. The appliance could also be irreparably damaged! Appliance When possible, clean the milk frother after every use: · For cleaning, pull the whisk 4 from the hand element 3. · Clean the hand element with a moist cloth. For stubborn soiling use a mild detergent on the cloth. · Clean the whisk 4 in a mild soapy solution. Rinse it off with clear water. Stand When cleaning it, take the stand 5 apart. Loosen the drip tray 6 from the stand 5. Soak them both in a soapy solution. Rinse them off with clear water. Storage · If you use the milk frother frequently, keep it in its stand 5 for storage. · Take the batteries out of the battery compartment if you are not intending to use the milk frother for an extended period of time. Store the milk frother at a clean and dry location. -8- Disposal Do not dispose of the appliance in your normal domestic waste. This product is subject to the provisions of European Directive 2002/96/EC. Dispose of the appliance through an approved disposal centre or at your community waste facility. Observe the currently applicable regulations. In case of doubt, please contact your waste disposal centre. Disposal of batteries Used batteries/rechargeable batteries may not be disposed of in household waste. Every consumer is legally obliged to dispose of batteries at a collection site of his community/city district or at a retail store. The purpose of this obligation is to ensure that batteries are disposed of in a non-polluting manner. Only dispose of batteries when they are fully discharged. Dispose of the packaging materials in an environmentally responsible manner. -9- Warranty and Service You receive a 3-year warranty for this device as of the purchase date. The appliance has been manufactured with care and meticulously examined before delivery. Please retain your receipt as proof of purchase. In the case of a warranty claim, please make contact by telephone with our service department. Only in this way can a post-free despatch for your goods be assured. The warranty covers only claims for material and maufacturing defects, not for worn parts or for damage to fragile components, e.g. buttons or batteries. This product is for private use only and is not intended for commercial use. The warranty becomes void in cases of abusive and improper handling, use of force and internal modifications not carried out by our authorized Service Centre. Käytä suojakäsineitä paristojen vuotaessa. Puhdista paristokotelo kuivalla liinalla. · Jos et käytä laitetta pidemmän aikaa, poista paristot. · Käytä aina samantyyppisiä paristoja. · Vaihda aina molemmat paristot samanaikaisesti. Ohje: Huomioi paristojen käsittelystä annetut turvaohjeet "Turvaohjeet"-luvussa! · Avaa paristokotelo painamalla paristokotelon kantta 2 eteenpäin. · Aseta paristot paikoilleen, noudata paristokotelossa annettua napaisuutta. · Sulje paristokotelon kansi 2 työntämällä se edestä laitteelle. Varmista, että paristokotelon kannen 2 pidikkeet osuvat laitteessa oleviin kiskoihin. Paristokotelon kansi 2 on silloin tiiviisti kiinni laitteessa. Ohje: Toimi täysin samalla tavalla, kun paristot on vaihdettava. - 16 - Käyttö · Täytä korkeaan astiaan n. 1/3 vaahdotettavaa nestettä. Huomaa: Maidon lämpötila ei saa ylittää 60 °C:tta. Muutoin se ei enää vaahdotu. · Pidä maidonvaahdotinta hieman astian pohjan yläpuolella. · Paina virtapainiketta 1. Vispilä 4 pyörii. Liikuta sitä hitaasti pyörivin liikkein. · Paina virtapainiketta 1 vielä kerran pysäyttääksesi vispilän 4. · Nosta maidonvaahdotin astiasta. · Aseta se telineeseen 5. Vispilään 4 jäänyt neste tippuu tippaastiaan 6. Puhdistus ja hoito Varoitus! · Poista paristot laitteesta ennen puhdistamista. Se estää laitteen tahattoman käynnistymisen. Laitevaurioiden vaara! · Älä käytä kemiallisia, hankaavia tai aggressiivisia puhdistusaineita. Ne vahingoittavat laitteen pintaa. - 17 - Älä koskaan upota käsiosaa 3 veteen tai muihin nesteisiin. Laite voi vaurioitua korjauskelvottomaksi. Laite Puhdista maidonvaahdotin mahdollisuuksien mukaan jokaisen käytön jälkeen: · Irrota vispilä 4 puhdistusta varten käsiosasta 3. · Puhdista käsiosa kostealla liinalla. Jos lika on kovapintaista, lisää liinaan laimeaa astianpesuainetta. · Puhdista vispilä 4 miedossa saippuavedessä. Huuhtele se puhtaalla vedellä. Teline Pura teline 5 puhdistusta varten. Irrota tippa-astia 6 telineestä 5. Huuhtele molemmat saippuavedessä. Huuhtele osat puhtaalla vedellä. Säilytys · Jos käytät maidonvaahdotinta usein, säilytä sitä telineessä 5. · Jos et käytä maidonvaahdotinta pidempään, ota paristot paristokotelosta. Säilytä maidonvaahdotinta kuivassa ja puhtaassa paikassa. - 18 - Hävittäminen Älä missään tapauksessa heitä laitetta tavallisen talousjätteen sekaan. Tämä tuote on eurooppalaisen direktiivin 2002/96/EY alainen. Anna laite hyväksytyn jätehuoltoyrityksen tai kunnallisen jätelaitoksen hävitettäväksi. Noudata voimassa olevia määräyksiä. Epäselvissä tilanteissa ota yhteyttä paikalliseen jätehuoltoviranomaiseen. Paristojen/akkujen hävittäminen Paristoja/akkuja ei saa hävittää kotitalousjätteiden seassa. Jokaisella käyttäjällä on lakisääteinen velvollisuus luovuttaa paristot/akut kuntansa/kaupunginosansa tai kaupan keräilypisteeseen. Näin varmistetaan, että paristot/akut hävitetään ympäristöystävällisellä tavalla. Palauta paristot/akut ainoastaan lataus purettuna. Hävitä kaikki pakkausmateriaalit ympäristöystävällisesti. - 19 - Takuu ja huolto Laitteen takuu on 3 vuotta ostopäivästä. Laite on valmistettu huolellisesti ja tarkistettu perusteellisesti ennen toimitusta. Säilytä ostokuitti todisteeksi ostosta. Ota takuutapauksessa puhelimitse yhteyttä lähimpään huoltopisteeseen. Vain näin voidaan taata tuotteesi maksuton lähettäminen huoltoon. Takuu koskee ainoastaan materiaali- ja valmistusvirheitä, ei kuitenkaan kuluvia osia tai herkästi vaurioituvien osien, esim. kytkinten tai akkujen vaurioita. Tuote on tarkoitettu ainoastaan yksityiseen käyttöön. Tuotetta ei siten saa käyttää kaupallisiin tarkoituksiin.
