Information regarding these operating instructions
These operating instructions are a component of the SLS 1000 A1 charging station (henceforth designated as the device) and they provide you with important information regarding the intended use, safety and connection as well as operation of the device . The operating instructions must be kept available in the vicinity of the device at all times. They are to be read and applied by anyone assigned to operate, and repair faults in the device. Retain these operating instructions and pass them on with the device to any future owners.

In the current operating instructions the following warning notices are used: WARNING A warning of this danger level signifies a possible dangerous situation. If the dangerous situation is not avoided it can lead to injuries. The directives in this warning are there to avoid personal injuries. IMPORTANT A warning of this danger level signifies possible property damage. If the situation is not avoided it can lead to property damage. The directives in this warning are there to avoid property damage. NOTICE A notice signifies additional information that assists in the handling of the device.

Proper usage
This device is intended exclusively for power supply to devices that have an operating voltage of 5 V (mobile telephones, MP3 players, etc.). Any other use or usage beyond those mentioned is considered improper use and can result in damages and injuries. Claims of any kind for damage resulting from unintended use will not be accepted.
"Made for iPod" and "Made for iPhone" mean that an electronic accessory has been designed to connect specifically to iPod, iPhone, respectively, and has been certified by the developer to meet Apple performance standards. Apple is not responsible for the operation of this device or its compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Safety instructions
For safe handling of the device observe the following safety instructions: Before use check the device for visible external damage. Do not put into operation a device that is damaged or has been dropped. Damaged cables or connections should be replaced by authorised qualified persons or by the customer service department. This device is not intended for use by individuals (including children) with restricted physical, physiological or intellectual abilities or deficiences in experience and/or knowledge unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or receive from this person instructions on how the device is to be used. Only allow children to use the device under supervision. Protect the device from moisture and liquid penetration. Never submerge the device in water, do not place the device in the vicinity of water and do not stand any object filled with liquid (i.e. vases) on the device. The device is intended for indoor use only . Do not place the device in the vicinity of flammable or explosive devices. Do not operate the device in the vicinity of open flames (i.e. candles). Do not place the device in locations that are subject to direct sunlight. as this could lead to overheating and cause irreparable damage. Use only the provided power supply unit. When using other power supply units the charging station and/or connected devices could be damaged. Never connect a voltage source/mains power supply to the output socket (connection socket for the adapter cable) of the charging station. Disconnect the device before cleaning and when not in use from the mains power supply and from connected devices to avoid the risk of an electric shock. The mains power supply unit consumes power in the standby mode therefore disconnect it completely from the mains power supply when not in use. Always pull on the power supply unit when disconnecting from the wall socket, never pull on the connection cord. In the event of malfunctions or thunderstorms, remove the plug from the mains power socket. The mains power socket must at all times be easily accessible, so that the power adapter can be easily and quickly removed in an emergency.

Observe the following safety instructions to avoid dangers: Packaging material should not be used, by children, as a play thing. There is a risk of suffocation! To avoid risks to persons and property, observe the requirements for the set-up location and the electrical connections.

Unpacking
Remove all device parts and these operating instructions from the carton. Remove all packaging materials from the device.
Disposal of the packaging
The packaging protects the device from transport damage. The packaging materials are selected from the point of view of their environmental friendliness and disposal technology and are therefore recyclable. The recirculation of packaging into the material circuit saves on raw material and reduces generated waste. Dispose of packaging material that is no longer needed according to the regionally established regulations.

Electrical connection
IMPORTANT Before connection of the device compare the specifications for the required input voltage on the rating plate with the intended voltage source for operation. This data must be compatible to avoid possible damage to the device. Make sure that the mains power supply unit's 8 cable is not damaged and does not run across hot surfaces and/or sharp edges, otherwise it will become damaged. Make sure that the mains power supply unit's knoted. Plug the mains power supply unit LED 9 lights up.

Preparation
1. Check the maximum input voltage of the device that you want to charge. This information can be found in the device's operating instructions. 2. Make sure that the maximum current consumption does not exceed 1000 mA (only when using the USB ports 7 ) and/or 2000 mA. This information can be found in the device's operating instructions. 3. Check which adapter cable is required for the device (see the compatibility table p. 12 + 13).

Charging of 5 V devices
1. Remove the cover from the charging station and insert the plug of the applicable adapter cable in one of the connection sockets 3 - 6 and/or the iPod/iPhone cable 21 into the USB port 7 . 2. Place the cover back on the charging station thereby feeding the adapter cable through the cut-out on the front panel of the cover. 3. Plug the other end of the adapter cable into the device's power supply socket. The device now receives its power supply from the charging station. If the device has a charge control indicator, this will show that the device is charging. NOTICE The charging station is so efficient that all 4 connection sockets 3 the USB port 7 can be used at the same time.
